A follow-up email provides loads more advice on building those energy levels.

Here are 5 simple tips for boosting your daily energy levels:

1. Eat breakfast. Every day. No excuses.
If you don’t eat anything until mid morning or lunchtime, then you will most likely have gone over 12 hours without any calories! Your blood sugar levels will drop dramatically during this time leaving your tired, unable to concentrate and even irritable.

2. Move your body.
Exercise is fantastic for boosting your energy levels. Allot of people exercise after work, but this can disrupt your sleep that evening. We recommend exercising in the morning to kick start your metabolism and fire up your energy levels.

3. Learn to relax or meditate.
Meditation may seem a little alternative, but you may be surprised to learn how many top business people and world leaders practice it. There are many different techniques to try, the secret is to find the one that works for you. Click here to see our beginners guide to meditation.

4. Eat to the 70% rule.
Eating too much will drain your energy. Try eating until you are 70% full and stopping. You will notice a dramatic improvement in your energy levels almost immediately. Also, remember that your food take a few minutes to reach your stomach, so eat slowly to allow you to judge the 70%.

5. Drink lots of water.

The ideal amount is about 2 litres a day. Keep a big glass on your desk and you will be surprised as to how easily you drink this amount. We recommend warm water, body temperature is best. Your body needs to spend extra energy to warm chilled water to body temperature.
