Why Positive Steps came to us
Darren Worsted, Business Development Manager at Positive Steps, had read our founder Graham Allcott’s book, How to be a Productivity Ninja, and became a genuine advocate for the approach. Rather than keeping that enthusiasm to himself, he championed bringing the thinking behind the book to the wider organisation, and Positive Steps booked us in to deliver it directly.
What we did
We delivered The Way of the Productivity Ninja to 100 participants, led by Grace Marshall. It’s built to give people a fast, practical introduction to working with more clarity and calm, cutting through overload without needing to overhaul an entire way of working overnight.
What people told us
Every single respondent rated the session 4 or 5 out of 5, and participants pointed to the delivery itself as a big part of what made it land:
“Presentation fantastic, engaging, well presented and will make me more reflective. Resources were also brilliant.”
“Lots of references to pop culture, kept it interesting.”
In their words
“The idea that time management isn’t really an effective way to look at it, that’s what really drew me into the book. What I need to manage is my attention, not my time. I got chatting to someone at the table and we agreed to be accountability partners. It ebbs and flows, sometimes I’m good at it, sometimes I’m not, but having that partner really helps keep it embedded.”
— Paul, Positive Steps
“None of it was rocket science, but the idea that you can take time, that you’re allowed to make mistakes, that it’s okay to take yourself away from a distracting situation, that’s what stuck with me.”
— Darren, Positive Steps
“It was a good reminder that I’m actually doing things right. I always enjoy trying to do things a little differently, experimenting to make work more interesting.”
— Sarah, Positive Steps

What this means for you
Positive Steps’ story shows what even a single, well-run session can do: a genuinely engaged room, real reflection, and people leaving with something they actually intend to change. It’s proof that Ninja-level thinking doesn’t need a long programme to start making a difference, though as with any single session, the real test is what happens in the weeks after.
