Our Time Management Training doesn’t just cover productivity methods for the office, but also for the life outside of work, which some people seem to forget about. Being a Productivity Ninja also means being weapon-savvy and using technology to our advantage. That’s why our Productivity Ninjas look into new apps and features and test out whether they could help you be more productive or whether they’re just another distraction. This time, our Productivity Ninja and director of Think Productive Australia tested out the activity tracker.
I used this app for the last 2 months and loved it. I give it an overall score of 8 out of 10. It’s done a great job tracking my steps and the accuracy seems very good. The only reason I didn’t give it a 9 or 10 is that I think the way the steps count up each time you move screens is a little slow and there should be an option to turn that off. You’ll see that in the video below.
Why use an app?
Using an activity tracker has been proven to improve our fitness and health. It’s great being able to set goals and track our progress. We can also have competitions with friends and have buddies to keep us on track. The nice thing about using an app is the user interface can provide graphs with user-friendly historical data to show us how we are progressing.
Battery Life
One of the key concerns about using an app is battery. We’re all struggling with battery life these days as we demand more and more from our phones. This app is awesome for Battery Life. It seems to use none. As Activity Tracker is a non-GPS tracker, so the battery use is minimal. The usage doesn’t even show on the percentage usage screen. Therefore, it must be less than 1%.
Wrapping Up
ActivityTracker is an excellent app and keeps track of your steps, distance, daily active calorie burn, active time, and flights of stairs climbed just by carrying your phone around. Awesome!
Time to start tracking your progress and go for a walk! 🙂
