It’s been an exciting start to the year for our Think Productive team. You might have already seen us shout it from the digital rooftops, but our Productivity Ninja brand had a whole lot to celebrate lately. Graham Allcott’s best-selling book ‘How to be a Productivity Ninja’ has been re-released for its 5th anniversary back in January and as if that was not enough, Think Productive is also turning 10 years old this year. *Insert Party Balloons* Plenty to be excited about and trust us when we tell you, that besides our productivity training expertise, we really know how to celebrate… but see for yourself.
On an icy January evening in London, Think Productive celebrated with fellow authors, trainers, partners, workshop delegates and HQers. Armed with bubbly, canapes, and cake – we sprawled across the beautiful Steelcase space and shared stories; of sharing the book with friends, of the lasting effect of a Getting Your Inbox to Zero session delivered 5 years ago, our favorite courses on the Productivity Ninja Academy and the challenges we all felt in the modern workplace.
Clustered together with drinks in hand, Philip from Icon Books reflected on the journey Icon and Graham had taken together, as well as the road ahead – expanding the Productivity Ninja library to include Work Fuel (coming March 2019!) Fixing Meetings (2020) and more. Graham and Elena recounted where it all began, and how far Think Productive has come in the last 10 years. We shared (just some of…) our plans for the future– and our mission to beat the business epidemic.
As part of the evening, we also took a quick spin around the world, starting with Martin Farrell – a close friend of Think Productive who was instrumental in the spark that became the Think Productive family as it is today. Joining us from sunny Spain, we did our best not to let our jealousy distract from Martin’s well wishes. Fortunately we soon zipped over to Canada, where our Canadian Productivity Ninjas, including Nick and Ann Marie shoveled deep snow amid their own congratulations. Moving further across Canada, Richard, one out of the dynamic Canadian Licensee duo reflected on his and Barbara’s first year spreading the Productivity Ninja way across the pond.
We also stopped by Western Europe with Annemarie and Marcel, who even held up a copy of the first, self-published (!) edition of the book – a reminder for us all how many wonderful team members have been with us since the start. We finished off our trip around the world with Matt in (sunny again!) Sydney, sharing his own stories of the Productivity Ninja mission down under. Sounds like a nice virtual trip around the world, doesn’t it? You can watch the whole thing below, if you fancy.
Altogether, it was a wonderful evening with a real, generous spirit of connection and celebration of all that Think Productive has achieved – and all that is yet to come! All we really have left to say is Thank You! Thanks to all of you out there for joining us on our journey, spreading the Productivity Ninja love and playing your crucial part to making today’s workforce less stressed, more productive and overall a whole lot happier.
